Four ways to ride with us, whether you own a horse, are thinking about it, or simply want to learn properly.

Boarding

Full-care boarding on 51 usable acres, with the daily attention that keeps a horse sound, settled and ready to work.

  • 36 fully matted 12' x 12' stalls and four fully matted 12' x 10' stalls, all with Dutch doors
  • 18 turnout pastures, so horses get generous, sensible time outside
  • Four hot-and-cold-water wash stalls for year-round bathing and post-work care
  • Personal cubby space for each boarder's everyday items
  • 24-hour supervision, backed by a security system

Training & Lessons

Lessons and training with Patti Zwaan, who has spent more than fifty years developing horses and riders at every level, from a first walk-trot lesson to the show ring.

There is no single method here. Patti draws on decades of work alongside Olympic-level riders and trainers to decide what the horse and rider in front of her actually need — building fundamentals, working through a training problem, rebuilding confidence, sharpening communication, or preparing for competition.

  • Beginners, returning riders, and adult amateurs
  • Juniors and IHSA collegiate riders
  • Horse owners wanting help with a specific training challenge
  • Competitors working toward a season plan

Leasing

Leasing is the step between taking lessons and buying a horse. You get regular time with one horse, learn how it goes on good days and difficult ones, and build a real partnership — without taking on ownership yet.

Availability changes through the year and depends on the rider. The best next step is a conversation about your riding, your goals and how often you can get to the barn.

Competitive Showing

For riders with competitive goals, we prepare horse and rider together and support them at the show. Mandi Zwaan has earned multiple National Championship titles, and that experience shapes how the program readies riders for the ring.

Showing here is treated as an outcome of good horsemanship, not a substitute for it. Riders learn to prepare a horse, walk a course, manage a day away from home, and read what went right and wrong afterwards.
