Full-care horse boarding on 51 usable acres at 13 Lightfield Road in Whitehouse Station, ten minutes from Route 78 in Readington Township, Hunterdon County.
Choosing where your horse lives is not really a decision about buildings. It is a decision about who is going to notice, at six in the morning in February, that he did not finish his grain. Our boarding program is built around that kind of attention, on a farm with enough room that horses get to be horses.

Every horse here is on full care. There is no self-care option and no partial board, because splitting responsibility for a horse between two parties is how things get missed.

02 The barn
The barn
Thirty-six fully matted 12' x 12' stalls and four fully matted 12' x 10' stalls, every one with a Dutch door so horses can put their heads out and watch what is going on. Four wash stalls with hot and cold water, so bathing in November is no harder than bathing in July.
Each boarder gets personal cubby space for the things you reach for daily. The tack room is heated in winter and air conditioned in summer, and there is a lunchroom, laundry and bathrooms — because you will spend more hours here than you expect, and a barn that is only comfortable for the horses is only half finished.

03 Turnout
Turnout on 51 acres
Eighteen turnout pastures across 51 usable acres. That number matters more than any other on this page: it means we can group horses sensibly instead of forcing whoever is left over into a field together, and it means a horse who needs to go out alone can go out alone.
Turnout is not an add-on here. A horse who moves all day stays sounder, eats better and is easier to ride, and the acreage is the reason we can offer it properly rather than in rotation.
04 The people
Who boards here
Adult amateurs, junior riders, college riders home for the summer, and owners whose competing days are behind them but whose horse still matters just as much. Some board and ride with Patti; others board and ride on their own, or bring their own trainer in.
What we ask is straightforward: that people are decent to each other and to the horses. It is a family atmosphere and it stays that way because the barn is small enough for everyone to know everyone.
Boarders here also have riding lessons and show coaching available on site, so a horse who needs a tune-up or a rider who wants to start showing does not have to go anywhere.
